I found this cute little app for my iPhone called Lenslight. It's silly and fun. Maybe you're supposed to use it to create realistic effects, but I'm using it for silly and fantastic portraiture. My kids are having lots of fun with it, especially my daughter. She's been requesting to do photo shoots all day. She chooses the pose and props and likes to help choose which effect looks best with each photo. Below is the series that we shot on Sunday. Enjoy!
Our beach vacation is coming to an end. I thought I'd have plenty of time to update my blog, but there has been too much to do in the sun and sand and waves and sea. I'll probably blog about this trip for the next week or so showing you some of the many photos I've been taking. Hope that's okay. It's what I like to do... each morning I've woken up around 5 or 5:15 a.m. to head out into the dark on the beach. My goal is to walk to the point of the island. I'm really going to miss my morning walks and the beach treasures found.
One of my favorite things to do while staying near a beach is to take a walk each morning as the sun comes up. I love it. Time to myself. And I get to take photos, stopping whenever and wherever I want. And search for creatures and critters. And gather shells. Lots of shells. My husband pointed out this morning that he hasn't said a word about all the shells I've bringing back to the condo. He's so sweet.
But then my most favorite part of the walk is when the family comes out to find me.
