My birthday was on Saturday. I spent the day browsing through antique stores in Pennsylvania. The children stayed with their saintly aunt, and I had a relaxing day with my husband collecting pretty things. So nice.
I was hoping to find a spindly-legged desk with a small drawer or two for my daughter's room, but settled for a small, spindly rocking chair and a larger white wooden chair. If I ever do I find the desk that's pictured in my head, this chair should be perfect for it. I was on a mission for globes and tin dollhouses, but they were all ridiculously over-priced. So glad that I found this dollhouse last summer.
I also found a small vintage tablecloth for her tea party table and another scarf, good for wrapping small puppy dogs. And one more box of 18 vintage Christmas ornaments. Fairly successful, I'd say.
Happy belated birthday! Great finds. Oh, and I had that Calico Critters dollhouse when I was a kid! I would have bought them all too.
