Happy Monday to you! We went ice skating this weekend. The little guy only made it around the loop once and has decided that he'd like to wait until he's older to learn to ice skate. But my daughter loved it. She'd been ice skating once last winter and has been begging to go almost every day... all year.
In other news, I finally finished this blanket. And here she is... All 144 squares. It only took me four winters to finish.
Yeah! Congrats on finishing the blanket!

beautiful blanket!
I have a question for you - how do you remember what is the size of your yarn (3mm, 5mm...) I guess you don't keep the wrap?

Thanks so much, Kathryn!

Hi Michal, I think that I usually try to buy worsted weight yarn. Granny squares are pretty forgiving if the weight isn't exactly the same or you're using different brand yarns. The hardest part was matching the whites, because I really did want the white field to be consistent. I worked on this so long that the first yarn shop that I was buying through stopped selling that type of white yarn, and I guess there can even be a difference from dye lot to dye lot in the same brand. I think if I ever do this again, I might just buy like 20 skeins of white all at once. I'll have to take advantage of a sale, I guess.
