I've been trying to figure out the best way to keep little miss warm on the way to her ballet classes. Over the head dresses don't work well, because her hair needs to be up in a bun, and pulling a dress off in a hurry just before class doesn't work... at all. Leggings seem to be the answer, but they're not that exciting. Well, she does have a pair of shiny silver leggings that are pretty cool, but... a while back, I found this adorable pattern for Sparkly Stripe-y Legwarmers here through the Charm Stitch website. Every little ballerina needs sparkle and shine, and warm, fuzzy legwarmers that sparkle seem the perfect solution. And they're so cute!
I haven't knit much the last few years, I think I pretty much quit when my son came along. Knitting needles seemed far too dangerous and tempting for the two wild little beasts... I mean cherubs. But after a few tries yesterday morning, I seem to be reacquainting myself pretty well with knitting. And the first legwarmer seems to be progressing in the right direction...
If I stick to it, and ignore all my other obligations maybe I'll be able to complete one pair of Sparkly Stripe-y Legwarmers before her next class. Maybe. Meanwhile, the little mister has requested a play date with me in his room. He says he has something very important to do.
