As promised, here are the Valentine's Day cards that we made last year. We made patterns with the plastic Perler beards in the shape of hearts. The kids really seemed to enjoy this project. I think the hearts were much easier and faster to do than the snowflakes that we made for our Christmas cards.
I printed sweet valentine messages on heavy white paper. The kids signed their names and helped to tape the hearts onto each card with festive pink and white striped washi tape. We used glassine envelopes to help show off the beautiful patterns of the hearts. I think they turned out really well. I hope the kids in their classes enjoyed them.
Make sure to start this project a few weeks ahead of time so that it can be a nice and leisurely activity.
Happy Valentine's Day!!
